Serving for the past six years as a top aide and Chief of Staff to Congressman Mike Thompson (D-CA), Charles will bolster the firm’s bipartisan lobbying team with a particular focus on health care, energy and tax issues. Previously, Charles spent more than 10 years working in various capacities for then House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt, including stints at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and on numerous Democratic campaigns. In all he brings more than seventeen years of experience working with Congressional Democrats to BGR.
